Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our busy warehouse in Durham, North Carolina. This position is crucial for ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and documented. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized receiving area. You will play a key role in our logistics process, verifying the accuracy of deliveries and ensuring that inventory is properly entered into our system. Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments from carriers.
  • Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
  • Tag and label received items as necessary.
  • Organize and stock received materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Communicate any receiving discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Follow all protocols for Lifting and safe material handling.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall logistics operations.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a warehouse receiving role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting, typically up to 40 pounds.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable and punctual.
