Join our growing logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee, as a Forklift Operator. This position is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and adherence to all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE, is required. Your role will directly impact the flow of our logistics operations, ensuring that inventory is managed effectively and orders are processed on time. We are looking for dependable individuals with a proven track record in forklift operation and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will be expected to perform routine checks on equipment and contribute to overall warehouse efficiency. - Safely operate forklifts and other powered equipment to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Transport inventory to and from various warehouse locations.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics team.
- Current and valid forklift operator certification.
- Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety and logistics procedures.
- Good hand-eye coordination and balance.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Team player with good communication skills.
