About
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and identifying areas for improvement in inventory accuracy. You will work closely with warehouse operations and logistics teams to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize inventory loss. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems. Your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness within our Logistics network. We require all employees to adhere to strict Safety protocols and provide the necessary PPE . While direct Lifting is not the primary focus, the ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds may be required for inventory checks. We are looking for a proactive individual who can contribute to process improvements and maintain a highly organized inventory system.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between system data and physical stock.
- Implement and maintain inventory control policies and procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues.
- Manage stock adjustments and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations staff to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status.
- Assist in the implementation of new inventory management technologies or systems.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Train other staff members on inventory control best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics principles.
- Understanding of Safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Capability for occasional light Lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
