We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our busy warehouse in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, playing a key part in maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring smooth logistics operations. Your duties will include meticulously unloading trucks, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders and packing lists, inspecting for any damages, and accurately entering received items into our inventory management system. Maintaining a clean and safe receiving area is also a core responsibility. This position requires individuals who are proactive, possess strong organizational skills, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Adherence to all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE, is mandatory. The ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs) is required. Responsibilities:
- Receive and log all incoming shipments accurately.
- Unload delivery vehicles and check contents against shipping documents.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, shortages, or damages immediately.
- Enter received inventory data into the warehouse management system.
- Organize and stage incoming goods for internal distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe receiving dock area.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve receiving issues.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing the required PPE.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and data entry.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to adhering to safety standards and using PPE.
