We are seeking a meticulous and efficient Order Picker to join our logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This position involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, and Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Receive picking lists or order forms and accurately locate items in the warehouse.
- Use scanning equipment to track inventory and confirm picks.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Ensure the correct items and quantities are picked according to orders.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- Perform tasks that require consistent physical effort, including significant Lifting.
- Understand and follow basic logistics and inventory management principles.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order details.
- Proficiency with handheld scanners or other warehouse technology.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform frequent Lifting for extended periods.
- Commitment to Safety standards.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
