Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator in our St. Louis, Missouri facility! We are seeking a reliable and experienced individual to efficiently move materials throughout the warehouse. Your primary responsibility will be operating forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. This role is critical to our overall logistics operations and maintaining a smooth workflow. You will be responsible for inspecting equipment before use, adhering to all safety protocols, and assisting with inventory management as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Prior experience with various types of forklifts is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials, pallets, and products.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills and safety awareness.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator. Valid forklift certification. Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs). Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment. Must be able to work flexible hours if needed. A commitment to workplace safety is paramount. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
