Are you a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Boston, Massachusetts? We are seeking experienced individuals to join our busy logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely moving, stacking, and retrieving materials within our warehouse facility. This role requires precise operation of forklifts and adherence to strict safety protocols to ensure the efficient flow of goods and the well-being of our team. You will play a crucial role in inventory management, order fulfillment, and general warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. We maintain a rigorous safety program, and all forklift operators must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and vests, and operate according to all safety standards. This role involves frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs and requires physical stamina. Your expertise in operating forklifts is vital to our supply chain efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trailers and containers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and retrieve products accurately in racking systems.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all traffic and safety regulations within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates to ensure timely order processing and efficient logistics.
