We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in San Diego, California. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that orders are accurately and efficiently prepared for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications, carefully packaging them for transit, and ensuring all items are accounted for. Your attention to detail will be paramount in minimizing errors and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to maintain a smooth workflow and meet daily targets. This position requires a proactive approach to task management and a commitment to upholding high standards of quality. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive work environment, and all employees are expected to adhere to strict safety protocols. You will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including safety shoes and gloves, as needed. The role involves significant physical activity, including frequent bending, stooping, and reaching. Expect to be on your feet for extended periods. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on pick lists or system-generated orders.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packaging.
- Package items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packing materials to prevent damage during shipping.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Operate hand-held scanners and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety regulations and proper lifting techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and packing goals.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to supervisors immediately.
