Join our bustling distribution center in Washington, D.C. as a Picker/Packer! We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to accurately and efficiently pick and pack customer orders. This role is the backbone of our e-commerce fulfillment process, ensuring that our customers receive their items quickly and correctly. You'll be responsible for reading order tickets, locating items in our warehouse, and preparing them for shipment. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. This position requires a positive attitude, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to safety. You will be expected to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, as mandated by our strict safety policies. Regular tasks involve moving throughout the warehouse, requiring stamina and the ability to perform moderate Lifting. Understanding basic logistics and inventory principles is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order sheets.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Verify product codes and quantities against orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming inventory.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
- Meet daily picking and packing quotas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Manual dexterity for picking and packing tasks.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow Safety protocols.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and moderate Lifting.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Team player with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is a plus.
