About
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our team at The Aldridge Day Nursery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 9 months to 5 years. You must have a level3 in Early Years (or higher)
Key Responsibilities
* *Leadership and Management*: Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, including staff supervision, mentoring, and training.
* *Curriculum Development*: Plan and implement a stimulating and age-appropriate curriculum that meets the developmental needs of all children.
* *Childcare and Education*: Provide high-quality care and education, ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of each child.
* *Parent Partnership*: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
* *Compliance and Safeguarding*: Ensure all nursery policies and procedures are followed, including safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity.
* *Continuous Improvement*: Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery.
Qualifications and Experience
* *Essential*:
* Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within an early years setting.
* Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* *Desirable*:
* Level 5 qualification in Early Years or a related field.
* Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
* First Aid and Safeguarding training.

* Passionate about early childhood education.
* Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team.
* Proactive and able to use initiative.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
