Preferred qualifications: 2 years of experience with cloud or hardware/operating systems (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, Chrome OS, etc.). Experience using Unix/Linux operating systems. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities: Lead a team dedicated and talented software engineers to build the Beam OS platform powering current and next generation devices. Build the roadmap for the team and manage individual projects priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise. Ensure alignment with production best practices, including fostering a culture of thorough design, technical excellence, innovation, and accountability. Adopt robust practices for triaging and diagnosing issues from multiple sources that may span across multiple teams and technical stacks. Partner closely with Team Leads, Hardware Engineers, Product Management, UX, Technical Program Management, and Operations, and peer engineering leaders to define and align on the product direction.
