About
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment, directly impacting our customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for picking items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This includes accurately identifying products, quantities, and ensuring items are securely packed to prevent damage during transit. Your attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining inventory accuracy and minimizing errors. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or handheld scanners.
- Inspect items for damage and ensure product quality before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely as needed.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping goals.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment is a plus.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety vests and gloves.
- Must be able to perform Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Understanding of basic Logistics principles.
