UW Health Kids is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer working at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI. 100% FTE, 40 hours per week, day shift, Monday – Friday, 8- or 10-hour shifts, with rotating evening/weekend call responsibility with 1-hour response time.

Work Schedule :

100% FTE, day/evening shift. 8-10 hour shifts Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 5:30PM. On-call rotation required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay :

  • Additional components of compensation may include:
    • Evening/Weekend Shift Differential
    • Overtime
    • On-Call/Call-In
  • Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants

Qualifications:

  • Required: Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CHAAHEP) approved ultrasound program, Associate Degree in Biological Sciences, Radiology, Ultrasound, or relevant health sciences field
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound, Radiology, Biological Sciences, or relevant health sciences field

Work Experience:

  • Preferred: Pediatric echocardiography experience
  • Preferred: 2 years of progressively responsible experience in a lab performing echocardiography testing

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Required Upon Hire: Registered in Adult Echocardiography (AE)
  • Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support/CPR
  • Preferred: Pediatric Echocardiography (PE)
  • Preferred: Fetal Echocardiography (FE)
