About
Join our logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska, as a Material Handler! This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our distribution center. You will be responsible for managing the flow of materials within the warehouse, including receiving goods, stocking inventory, and preparing items for outgoing shipments. This position involves significant physical activity, including consistent lifting of items up to 75 lbs, prolonged standing, walking, bending, and operating warehouse equipment like pallet jacks. A strong commitment to safety and an understanding of logistics processes are crucial. We are looking for dedicated individuals with a strong work ethic, who are reliable and can work effectively within a team. Prior experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus. Comprehensive training on our specific procedures, safety protocols, and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided to ensure your success and safety in this role. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders for shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and records.
- Ensure warehouse areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily operational targets.
