Join our team in Miami, Florida as a Material Handler! This role is fundamental to our logistics network, ensuring that raw materials and finished goods are moved, organized, and prepared for their next stage of processing or shipment. You'll play a critical part in maintaining an efficient and safe working environment within our warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials and products.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas using appropriate equipment.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse safety and smooth logistics operations.
- Perform regular equipment checks to ensure operational readiness and report any defects.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed, which may include occasional lifting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to operate basic material handling equipment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to perform moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and organization.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
