About
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations by accurately and efficiently retrieving products for customer orders. Your primary responsibility will be to use a handheld scanner and follow pick lists to locate and gather items from various warehouse locations. This role requires a keen eye for detail to ensure order accuracy and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and possess the physical stamina for repetitive tasks. You will be expected to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to a growing logistics company and to develop valuable skills in warehouse management.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a scanner and pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities before proceeding to the next item.
- Safely operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, reporting any hazards or concerns.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as required.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Understand and contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Familiarity with scanning technology is advantageous.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Comfortable working in a variety of warehouse conditions.
This role requires consistent lifting and the ability to stand for extended periods. A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE protocols is essential for success in this logistics position.
