The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess a strong understanding of warehouse receiving procedures. You will work closely with suppliers, transportation providers, and internal warehouse staff to manage the flow of goods into our facility. Maintaining a safe receiving area, including adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of PPE, is paramount. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform lifting tasks, and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Your accuracy in recording received goods will directly impact inventory levels and downstream operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify that received goods match purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Inspect incoming items for damage and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record all received inventory in the warehouse management system.
- Label received goods with appropriate identification.
- Stage received items for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Communicate with suppliers and carriers regarding delivery discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or inventory control role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems and data entry.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.
