About
Seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our vibrant logistics team in Portland, Oregon. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, staging inventory, and transporting goods to designated areas. We rely on our Forklift Operators to maintain smooth operations and ensure product integrity. The ideal candidate possesses a strong safety record, excellent forklift operation skills, and a commitment to teamwork. You must be comfortable with physical tasks, including Lifting, and strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from various warehouse locations.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper Lifting techniques.
- Wear all required PPE at all times while operating equipment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow within our logistics operations.
- Complete other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable forklift operating experience.
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., OSHA).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including occasional overtime.
- A commitment to safe practices and the consistent use of PPE.
