We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for identifying discrepancies, implementing corrective actions, and contributing to process improvements that enhance overall inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. This position demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and a solid understanding of inventory control principles. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to improve inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist in the training of new inventory control staff.
- Monitor stock levels and report any issues promptly.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and efficiency in all logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Proficiency in WMS and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
