About
We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator for our San Antonio, Texas distribution center. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, replenishing inventory, and ensuring materials are in their correct locations within the warehouse. The ideal candidate possesses a strong safety record, excellent maneuvering skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations. This position is critical to the seamless functioning of our Logistics network. You must be diligent in performing pre-operational checks on your equipment and adhering to all company Safety standards. Physical demands include the ability to operate equipment for extended periods and occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times while on the warehouse floor. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach) safely and productively.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack inventory within the warehouse efficiently.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Replenish stock and ensure accurate placement of goods.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping.
- Follow all warehouse Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE .
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of Logistics operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operation and warehouse Safety .
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Commitment to following all PPE requirements.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Experience in Logistics is a significant advantage.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as required.
