Junior Network Technician ISP/Wide Area Network (m/f/d)Berlin, Stuttgart and nationwide permanent position, full-time/part-time mobile working What is it about?Our scientific network and our services are subject to constant change. Innovative technologies and application scenarios need to be evaluated, introduced and operated. We are looking for you to actively support us in this exciting task. Be an active part of shaping and supporting this change!
In your hands:- Operation and further development of the IP router platform (Nokia 7750 service router and Cisco NCS5700) and the DWDM platform (Ribbon)
- Support for universities and research institutions in relation to the network services of DFN-Verein
- Coordination and cooperation with internal and external service providers
- Maintenance of network and service documentation
- Participation in the on-call service (2nd line)
- Vocational training or a degree in a technical or scientific field
- field or a comparable qualification
- Knowledge and experience in the areas of routing and switching or optical transport networks
- Very good German and good English skills
- your high standards for the solutions you design with a focus on their availability, integrity and performance
- your composure and professionalism in the face of challenges
- You like to learn, think in a results-oriented way and are always persistent in pursuing your tasks
