About
We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This position is essential for managing the movement of materials within our warehouse and production facilities. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment, transporting goods, and ensuring materials are organized and readily available for downstream processes. The ideal candidate is proficient in operating material handling equipment, safety-conscious, and capable of performing tasks involving significant Lifting and manual labor. This role is critical to our overall logistics and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the facility.
- Organize and stack materials in designated storage areas.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock location verification.
- Ensure materials are properly tagged and identified.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve operational goals and improve logistics processes.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Must be able to perform significant Lifting (up to 75 lbs) and manual tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control systems.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
