We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our dedicated team in Richmond, Virginia. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be instrumental in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and the highest standards of safety. You will manage and motivate a team of warehouse associates, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to achieve operational goals. This leadership role requires strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics processes. Your responsibilities will include coordinating receiving, storage, and shipping activities, optimizing workflow, and implementing best practices. A paramount focus will be placed on maintaining a safe working environment, enforcing all company safety policies, and ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all team members. You will also be responsible for training staff, conducting performance reviews, and managing inventory levels. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, and shipping.
- Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff to ensure productivity and adherence to procedures.
- Monitor workflow and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and cycle counting processes.
- Enforce all safety regulations, conduct safety audits, and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Manage space utilization and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Resolve operational issues and conflicts promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet logistical demands.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to handle physically demanding situations, including overseeing tasks involving significant Lifting.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
