About
Our Boston, Massachusetts facility is looking for experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage the movement of goods within our warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting inventory, and assisting with warehousing tasks. Your role is vital to the smooth functioning of our distribution center and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Efficiently load and unload trailers and containers.
- Transport products between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper placement of goods.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, warehouse policies, and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Must possess a valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills.
