We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our Dallas, Texas location. This role is essential for managing the flow of goods into our facility. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all incoming shipments, ensuring that inventory is received correctly and promptly entered into our system. Your efficiency and accuracy will directly impact our logistics operations and customer satisfaction. A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of responsibility are vital for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect delivered goods for any damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Document all received items accurately using our inventory management system.
- Organize and stage incoming products for efficient put-away.
- Ensure the receiving area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, as needed and trained.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, transportation providers, and internal departments.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Prepare necessary documentation for outgoing returns or rejected items.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a warehouse receiving role is highly desirable.
- Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including regular lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Familiarity with basic inventory control principles.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of proper handling procedures and the use of required PPE .
- Understanding of fundamental logistics processes.
- Commitment to maintaining a secure and safe work environment.
