Join our fast-paced logistics team in Fort Worth, Texas, as a Material Handler! We are looking for an energetic individual to support the smooth operation of our warehouse. This role is vital for managing the movement of materials throughout our facility, from receiving to production and shipping. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of various materials, ensuring they are correctly identified, stored, and transported. A strong commitment to safety, including the correct use of PPE, is essential. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a dynamic warehouse setting.
Responsibilities:
- Unload and load materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Verify the identity and quantity of materials against shipping documents and work orders.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper stacking and organization.
- Assist with inventory control by conducting regular checks and reporting discrepancies.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all operational guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from hazards.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Lift and move heavy objects as needed, following proper Lifting techniques.
- Support other departmental functions as required to ensure overall logistics success.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred. Forklift certification is a plus. Must be able to perform sustained physical activity, including significant Lifting of up to 50 lbs. A strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols, including PPE usage. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
