Seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our bustling Nashville, Tennessee facility! This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials. Your expertise in handling equipment and understanding warehouse logistics is key to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and proper organization.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working order, reporting any issues immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, promoting safety and efficient logistics.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance forklift operation skills and safety awareness.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, which may involve occasional lifting.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or demonstrated proficiency.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive logistics environment.
