Our Portland, Oregon distribution center is seeking experienced Forklift Operators! If you are a safety-conscious individual with a strong background in operating forklifts and contributing to efficient logistics, this is the role for you. You will be responsible for maneuvering forklifts to move, load, and unload materials, as well as transporting goods throughout our facility. Ensuring the safe handling of all products and maintaining a secure work environment are top priorities. This includes strict adherence to all safety regulations, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and performing regular equipment checks. You will play a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the smooth flow of goods within our logistics network. The ability to perform moderate Lifting and work collaboratively with a team is also important. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping.
- Support the smooth functioning of our Logistics operations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals.
- Perform occasional tasks involving moderate Lifting.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification required.
- Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting.
- Knowledge of Logistics principles is advantageous.
- Good manual dexterity and spatial awareness.
- Team-oriented with effective communication skills.
- Reliable and committed to punctuality.
