About
Our Seattle, Washington facility is looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials within our distribution center. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively, transporting goods to and from various locations, and assisting with inventory management. You will also be involved in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring accurate receiving and shipping processes. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience operating various types of material handling equipment, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. You will be required to perform daily equipment checks and maintain a clean and organized work area. Adherence to all company safety policies and the mandatory use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is paramount. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Transport materials within the warehouse and to designated areas.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with inventory control and stock rotation.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must wear appropriate PPE at all times.
