We are seeking a strong and experienced Material Handler to join our vital logistics operations in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, operating heavy machinery, and ensuring that materials are organized and readily available for production or shipping. Your expertise in handling various materials and equipment is crucial to maintaining our operational flow and productivity. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory within the warehouse.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Identify and report any hazards or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to all logistics and warehousing best practices.
- Handle lifting and moving of materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar logistics role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Must be capable of heavy lifting, up to 75 lbs.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and consistent use of PPE.
