Our growing logistics operation in Tampa, Florida is seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor. This leadership role is crucial for overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing a team of warehouse associates, and ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods. You will be responsible for supervising the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, optimizing space utilization, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety and efficiency. This position requires excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, as well as the capacity to motivate a team towards common goals. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Ensure efficient operations in receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and Safety best practices.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency and space utilization.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Resolve operational issues and discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain performance metrics and report on key warehouse operations data.
- Must be comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including managing tasks that involve Lifting heavy items.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and experience implementing safety programs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification is a plus.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting.
