We are seeking a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our bustling warehouse in Atlanta, Georgia. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the accurate retrieval of products from our inventory and their subsequent careful packing for shipment. Your precision in picking and packing directly contributes to customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our logistics operations. You will utilize scanning equipment and order sheets to locate and verify items, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled correctly. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining a tidy workspace. Strict adherence to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is expected. This role involves regular lifting and requires individuals who are physically capable of performing these tasks consistently. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick specified items from warehouse shelves based on order pick lists or RF scanner data.
- Inspect items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Pack items securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages with correct shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation as needed.
- Follow all established safety procedures and protocols.
- Properly use all required PPE, such as gloves and safety glasses.
- Perform frequent lifting of items, up to 50 lbs, throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and item numbers accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and performing frequent lifting.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and basic logistics principles.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
