We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is key to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, maintaining inventory records in our WMS, and contributing to process improvements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong analytical skills. A thorough understanding of logistics and warehouse operations, along with a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, is essential. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies with a high degree of accuracy.
- Maintain and update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, root causes of errors, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and organization of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations, logistics, and management teams.
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist in the training and guidance of inventory support staff.
- Contribute to reducing inventory shrinkage and improving operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Dedication to workplace Safety.
