This position requires a valid reach truck certification, a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and meticulous attention to detail. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trailers and other transport vehicles.
- Place pallets in designated racking systems at various heights.
- Accurately record inventory movements using scanning equipment or logs.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on the reach truck.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety regulations and traffic rules within the facility.
- Ensure the proper use of PPE, including safety vests and steel-toed boots.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices in logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to wearing all required PPE at all times.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
