Project Manager – Major Data Centre & Cloud Migration Program

About
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale data centre application migration and disposition program . This role involves collaborating with a third-party consulting partner and internal architecture/infrastructure teams to execute a multi-year data centre exit and cloud migration initiative.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Leadership
- Lead the full Migration Program within the organization’s PMO framework.
- Coordinate internal teams with the third-party migration partner.
- Manage timelines, risks, deliverables, budgets, invoices, SoWs, and POs.
- Provide regular reporting, communication updates, benefit realization, and change management support.
- Support financial analysis related to capital-to-operating cost transitions.
Application Migration & Disposition
- Support evaluation and selection of migration partners.
- Coordinate data gathering and application assessment activities.
- Work with internal and vendor teams on application disposition decisions (re-host, re-platform, retire, etc.).
- Participate in wave planning for migration activities.
- Validate third-party milestones and deliverables for payment approval.
- Recommend the final migration factory model for execution.

- Capacity uplift plan
- Governance, readiness, and process documentation
- Cloud Managed Services Plan & partner selection
- Budget modeling, forecasting, and 2026–2027 budget inputs
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience managing large-scale data centre exits or cloud workload migrations .
- Practical experience with Azure or AWS (preferred).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, especially with senior leadership.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification (preferred).
- Ability to reside and attend in person in the BC Lower Mainland as required.
- Experience working with CSPs to leverage funding and resources.
Resourcing
- Engagement of one (1) Project Manager .
- Prime contractor may delegate to approved subcontractors.
- Subcontractor hours must follow the organization’s timesheet policy.
