Objective
Under the supervision of the Director, Digital Transformation, the Ecommerce Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational execution and stability of the company's ecommerce platforms.

The role ensures effective delivery of ecommerce initiatives by coordinating development activities, managing sprint execution, overseeing release readiness, and monitoring site performance. Acting as the primary operational point of contact across ecommerce, this role translates strategic priorities into executable plans and ensures issues are identified, escalated, and resolved efficiently.

Responsibilities
Ecommerce Operations Management

  • Own day-to-day ecommerce operations across B2B and B2C platforms, ensuring platform stability and operational continuity.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for ecommerce incidents, outages, or performance issues, and lead post-incident follow-up.
  • Lead cross-functional issue resolution by coordinating workshops or working sessions with Planning, IT, Logistics, Merchandising, or other stakeholders to investigate issues, align on root causes, and drive agreed solutions to completion.

Sprint, Feature Delivery & Release Management

  • Lead daily scrums with internal and external development and QA teams.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories with acceptance criteria, identifying impacted systems, regions, and touchpoints.
  • Partner with IT and development teams to validate scope, feasibility, and technical dependencies.
  • Maintain and groom the ecommerce backlog in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Propose sprint priorities aligned with the ecommerce roadmap.
  • Track sprint progress, delivery risks, dependencies, and timelines, and provide clear weekly status reporting.
  • Coordinate and execute UAT across devices, regions, and use cases prior to release.
  • Ensure bugs are properly tracked, prioritized, and resolved.
  • Support controlled rollouts, provide go/no-go recommendations, and validate post-release outcomes.
  • Ensure traceability from business request through feature release.

Performance Monitoring & Data-Driven Optimization

  • Monitor ecommerce performance metrics and site funnel performance across markets and devices.
  • Identify performance anomalies following releases or configuration changes.
  • Partner with Merchandising, CRM, and Analytics teams to contextualize performance insights.
  • Translate data insights into actionable operational improvements and backlog priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: College diploma or bachelor's degree in ecommerce, digital business, project management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5–7+ years of experience in ecommerce operations, digital delivery, or product execution roles.
  • Hands-on experience with ecommerce platforms (Optimizely and/or Shopify Plus a plus).
  • Proven experience working with development and QA teams in sprint-based environments.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce funnels, site performance, and operational dependencies.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret ecommerce performance data.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (ADO, Jira, Asana).
