About The Role

We are searching for dynamic Territory Sales Representatives who can engage customers with clarity and professionalism while strengthening relationships with retail staff to drive shared success.

This role centers on delivering accurate education and an exceptional customer experience in the smoke-free tobacco category, with strict adherence to all regulatory guidelines. You will interact directly with consumers and retail teams, ensuring they understand the product category and feel confident in their knowledge. Partnering with retail staff to equip them with the information they need to support customers effectively and drive sustained growth across your territory is essential to long-term success. By combining product expertise with strong interpersonal skills, you will create positive, informative interactions that influence purchasing decisions responsibly and elevate the customer experience.

Contract Details

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Duration: 1 month (possibility of extension)

  • Hours: 25–35 per week (4 days/week, approx. 6 hrs/day)

  • Schedule: Assigned territory with 2 retail locations per day, 3 hours per location

  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + performance incentives + paid commute time

Responsibilities
  • Customer Education & Engagement: Deliver clear, accurate product education and create a welcoming experience for customers, ensuring all interactions comply with regulatory guidelines. Ability to gather and act on customer feedback to improve sales processes.

  • Retailer Collaboration: Build strong, collaborative relationships with store staff and managers to equip them with the knowledge and tools needed to support customers effectively and contribute to shared success.

  • Territory Growth & Management: Follow a structured schedule of visiting two retail locations per day, spending approximately three hours at each location, and focus on driving sustained growth and performance within your territory.

  • Commute Planning: Manage your travel across busy Toronto efficiently planning ahead to ensure punctuality and consistent execution.

  • Sales & Registration: Influence purchasing decisions responsibly, close sales, and accurately complete customer registrations while safeguarding sensitive information.

  • Problem Solving: Address challenges quickly and effectively to maintain a positive experience for both customers and retail partners.

Qualifications
  • Proven ability to drive sales and achieve measurable targets in retail or field environments.

  • Previous experience in retail sales, territory management, or field marketing is preferred.

  • Familiarity with consumer goods or regulated product categories (such as tobacco alternatives, electronics, or similar) is considered a strong asset.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a confident, engaging presence.

  • Comfortable initiating conversations and educating customers in a professional, compliance-focused manner.

  • Ability to quickly learn and articulate product features and category insights to both consumers and retail staff.

  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and client needs.

  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and transport assets up to 50 lbs.

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.

  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
