Job Summary
Leads team of quality inspectors and supplier quality engineers across two sites. Directs the day-to-day quality deliverables and initiatives, examples include C of C review, shipment data packages, root cause and investigation, tooling inspection, non-conformance control and documentation. Manages the supplier quality function including performance metrics, quality deliverables and effective supplier RCCA's. Manages the calibration system supporting the procurement and service of all inspection equipment and calibrated instruments/tooling. Supports the development, implementation and continuous improvement of inspection procedures and technologies. Implements and helps maintain the site Quality Management System in accordance with current quality standards in an AS9100 environment. Impact of the Role
Supervises the daily activities of support staff or production team members. Does not typically perform the work supervised. Must have any type of one direct report or more. Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors. Problem solving is guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance and oversight from manager. Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment. Essential Functions
Supervises programs and activities within the quality assurance functions of the organization. Oversees audit or inspection processes meant to monitor compliance with established quality standards. Administers policies and programs ensuring that organizational products and processes meet established quality standards. Participates in the development, implementation, and administration of an organizational quality management system and monitors progress against strategic quality-related goals. Supervises the work of a team of analysts that collect data identifying potential quality failures, evaluate quality of raw materials or components, in-progress goods, processes or operations, and implement and measure the impact of corrective actions. Solicits internal and external feedback with the goal of continuously improving processes or products. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership. Required Qualifications
Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience. Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications
10 years of prior engineering experience in a quality, technical or manufacturing environment preferred. Bachelor of Science Degree in Quality Management, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) related field. IPC-610/620 preferred. Knowledge of industry standards such as (ANSI, ASTM, IPC, J-STD, etc.), in depth GD&T understanding and application, practical knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection, strong leadership and RCCA skills, ability to manage technical staff in a cross functional environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities. Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. This position is Safety-Sensitive. Travel Requirements
Up to 25% travel likely. Pay Range (USD)
$82,852.00 - $153,868.00 annually Additional Compensation
