About
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality speech therapy services to residents in an in-patient setting. May also work with outpatient services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to speech and language development.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in residents and outpatient clients.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and needs.
* Implement effective speech therapy interventions to improve communication skills.
* Collaborate with families, guardians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress.
* Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
* Provide guidance and education to families regarding speech development and therapy techniques.
* Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in speech therapy and early intervention.
*Qualifications*
* Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
* Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
* Experience working in a skilled nursing home setting is preferred, particularly with geriatric populations.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to speech and language.
* Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and early intervention strategies.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay: $48.00 - $54.00 per hour
