Certified Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Prior experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, is highly valued.

Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in compliance with safety standards
• Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
• Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
• Manage patient records accurately using Epic and Dentrix software systems
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment in the clinic
• Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and materials
• Ensure effective communication with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up appointments

Skills

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience working with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix preferred
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and pediatric dentistry is a plus
• Ability to operate CAD systems for imaging purposes
• Strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate patient care and support diverse patient needs
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, including supporting the role of a dental receptionist when needed
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
