Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in compliance with safety standards
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records accurately using Epic and Dentrix software systems
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment in the clinic
- Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and materials
- Ensure effective communication with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up appointments
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience working with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix preferred
- Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and pediatric dentistry is a plus
- Ability to operate CAD systems for imaging purposes
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate patient care and support diverse patient needs
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, including supporting the role of a dental receptionist when needed
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
