Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our bustling dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, managing food quality and safety, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations to maintain our reputation for excellence in hospitality. Prior experience in quick service, fine dining, or casual dining environments is highly valued, along with proficiency in POS systems such as Global. The Restaurant Supervisor will play a key role in staff training, inventory control, and maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service
- Lead, motivate, and train staff to uphold service standards and operational procedures
- Oversee food preparation processes to ensure quality and consistency in line with safety regulations
- Manage POS transactions using various POS systems, including cash handling and sales reporting
- Control inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor food safety compliance
- Coordinate shift schedules, manage staffing levels, and handle shift management duties
- Assist with food production, kitchen management, and catering services as needed
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are maintained throughout the restaurant
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Support budgeting efforts and assist with food cost control initiatives
- Conduct staff interviews, onboarding, training & development programs to foster team growth
- Maintain compliance with health regulations and safety protocols
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within the food industry or hospitality management roles
- Extensive background in restaurant management including casual dining, fine dining, or quick service environments
- Strong knowledge of food handling, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices
- Experience with POS systems preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team management and staff development
- Background in managing inventory control, budgeting, and operational efficiency
- Prior experience in catering or banquet settings is advantageous
- Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interview candidates effectively
- Culinary experience or barista/coffee experience is beneficial but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
