Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of meal preparation and food safety practices. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals that meet our standards for taste and presentation. This position requires a commitment to maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and adhering to all food handling regulations.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Assist in the planning of menus, taking into account seasonal availability of ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Certification in food handling or culinary arts is a plus but not required.

Pay: $15.80-$25.57 per hour
