We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Boise, Idaho. This crucial role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate and resolve discrepancies, manage inventory adjustments, and ensure that our inventory system accurately reflects our physical stock. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles. A commitment to accuracy and efficiency is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical inventory.
- Process inventory adjustments and stock movements in the WMS.
- Conduct root cause analysis for inventory variances.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist with physical inventories and other inventory-related projects.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations and logistics teams to improve inventory accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
