About
As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will make a lasting impact on both children and their families by supporting functional growth, confidence, and independence. Your role extends beyond direct work with the child, and you will also guide and collaborate with families. You will become a trusted member of their team and an essential part of each child's developmental journey. You will practice in both our outpatient clinic and private school settings while working closely within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality services. Your passion for helping others will shine as you guide patients through their developing journey.
*What you’ll do*
* Complete comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized care plans that support functional growth and independence.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes while adhering to medical terminology standards.
* Modify treatment programs as status changes and document appropriately.
* Implement discharge planning strategies to ensure smooth transitions from outpatient clinic or school environment to home environment.
* Partner with families through home exercise programs, sensory diets, and parent coaching to promote carryover at home and in daily routines.
* Contribute to ongoing team learning by sharing OT knowledge and participating in professional growth opportunities.
* Serve as a mentor as deemed appropriate for setting.
*Basic qualifications*
* Meet State and National regulations for licensure and/or certification.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy practices.
* Proficiency in case management techniques and experience developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Strong communication skills: verbal and written.
*Preferred qualifications*
* Experience in pediatrics including infants
* Background in outpatient clinic settings or school environments working with children
* Understanding of coding for accurate billing
* Experience with a variety of diagnoses
* Master's Degree
