About

Position Overview

Air Spray is seeking a Junior IT Support / SharePoint Implementation Specialist to support the organization during a critical transition from a legacy intranet system to Microsoft SharePoint. This role is a key part of the company's Safety Management System (SMS) risk mitigation strategy, supporting operational continuity as we approach fire season.

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for day-to-day IT support activities, allowing senior IT resources to focus on the development, configuration, and rollout of SharePoint systems that support operational, safety, and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support (Primary – Day-to-Day)

  • Provide first-line IT support to staff (hardware, software, user access, troubleshooting)
  • Assist with user account management (Microsoft 365, email, permissions)
  • Respond to IT service requests and basic system issues
  • Support workstation setup, maintenance, and basic network troubleshooting
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT as required

SharePoint & Intranet Transition (Secondary Support)

  • Assist with SharePoint site setup, document libraries, and permissions
  • Support data migration from the legacy intranet to SharePoint
  • Help organize and structure content based on defined priorities
  • Perform testing and validation of SharePoint functionality
  • Assist with basic documentation and user guidance

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
  • Basic understanding of SharePoint structure and permissions (hands-on experience an asset)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively
  • Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset

Preferred Assets

  • Experience supporting organizations with operational or safety-critical systems
  • Prior involvement in system migrations or intranet projects
  • Knowledge of IT support ticketing systems
  • Familiarity with aviation, industrial, or operations-focused environments
