*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be skilled in developing individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children and adults with various disabilities, and requires a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
*Responsibilities*
* Assess patients' needs and develop personalized care plans to assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
* Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' functional abilities.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive discharge planning and case management.
* Provide therapy in various settings including acute care, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home health, and schools.
* Work with individuals with autism, geriatrics, and those requiring early intervention services.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
* Educate patients and their families on strategies to enhance independence and quality of life.
* Stay updated on best practices in occupational health and therapy techniques.
*Qualifications*
* Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
* Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
* Experience in inpatient settings, ICU experience preferred.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology essential for effective patient care.
* Familiarity with speech therapy techniques is a plus.
* Previous experience working with people with disabilities across various age groups including pediatrics is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and educate patients.
* Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42.00 - $53.00 per hour
