Join our team in sunny San Diego, California, as an Inventory Control Specialist! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement measures to prevent future stock inaccuracies. This position is key to ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of inventory management systems, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You'll work closely with various departments to ensure product availability and minimize losses. A commitment to Safety and proper handling of goods is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Monitor stock levels and report on variances.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Identify and report damaged or obsolete stock.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with product put-away and retrieval processes.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies, including the correct use of PPE and safe material handling practices.
- Contribute to improving overall Logistics efficiency through accurate inventory data.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Lifting requirements and safe practices.
- Understanding of Logistics workflows.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure warehouse environment.
