We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in New York City, New York. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Your expertise will help optimize stock levels, minimize discrepancies, and ensure smooth warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Manage and organize warehouse stockroom, ensuring proper placement and labeling of items.
- Track the movement of inventory, including receipts, transfers, and shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety and Security protocols.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and report inventory data.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and the correct use of PPE when handling stock.
- Generate regular inventory reports for management review.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and inventory tracking systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of Logistics principles and supply chain management.
- Understanding of Safety procedures related to warehouse operations.
- Experience with physical counting and inventory audits.
- Familiarity with lifting techniques and equipment for handling inventory.
