We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately pick and pack items from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or scanning devices. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where precision and speed are key to success. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual who can work independently or as part of a team, contributing to the overall efficiency of our distribution operations. We value a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new processes. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated locations using pick sheets or RF scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and quality.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and order picking procedures is a plus.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following all guidelines.
