Job Summary:
We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing orders. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documentation, verifying order details, packaging items securely, and coordinating with carriers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses excellent attention to detail, and is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient shipping operation. Experience in a logistics or shipping environment is preferred. This role requires accuracy in handling documentation and may involve some lifting. Responsibilities:
  • Generate and process all necessary shipping labels and documentation (e.g., BOLs).
  • Verify order contents against shipping manifests to ensure accuracy.
  • Package products appropriately for shipment, protecting them from damage.
  • Accurately affix all necessary shipping labels and any compliance markings.
  • Arrange for carrier pickups and deliveries, optimizing logistics routes.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe shipping dock area.
  • Manage inventory of shipping supplies and reorder as needed.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external logistics partners.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Understanding of shipping regulations and best practices in logistics.
  • Awareness of workplace safety and the importance of PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
